Time for another installment of “This or That” and this time I’m featuring three different kitchen designs.  Three popular design styles for kitchens (or any part of your home for that matter) and three of my most favorite looks are the contemporary style, the minimalist style, and the french country look.  Here’s brief description of each.

This style includes a range of styles developed in the latter half of the 20th century. Pieces feature softened and rounded lines as opposed to the stark lines seen in modern design. Interiors contain neutral elements and bold color, and they focus on the basics of line, shape and form.  Contemporary is often defined by clean lines with a casual atmosphere, open spaces, neutral colors, and elements and materials inspired by nature.

Paring things down to the basics and ditching the superfluous can do wonders for your sanity, not to mention it looks super sophisticated and sleek. From feminine minimalism to laid-back luxury, this simple approach to interior design is one of our favourites. But just like the no-makeup makeup trend, it’s not as simple as it looks. If you’ve been a longtime fan of the look but are unsure about how to get started, our step-by-step approach will help you kick things off.   Source:  My Domain Home.

French Country

Say “Oui!” to French Country Decor. Inspired by the stunning homes of Provence, French country design often incorporates ruffles, distressed woodwork, mixed patterns, and both vibrant and subdued hues. Here are 10 ideas for creating this elegant but comfortable style in your own home. Source: HGTV

So…which one is your style?
